With the number nineteen pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the New York Giants have selected Syracuse tackle Justin Pugh. Pugh is an ultra-versatile lineman with experience at virtually every offensive line spot, an attractive trait for any lineman. He has short arms for a tackle, but has the size and technique to contribute heavily in the NFL. For now, he will likely step in right away at the right tackle spot for the Giants.
Pugh is seventh offensive lineman taken in the draft, making this draft a very trench-focused draft thus far. With all the linemen being selected ahead of the Bengals at 21, lots of good players at other positions have slid down the first round, which is excellent for those picking near the bottom.
