CRUSH!

Think of what the addition of Tyler Eifert brings to our team. Another player that can give us 50 plus receptions. Can teams defense us when these five players are lined up on the opponents 35 yard line on third and 5.

A.J. Green 97, Gresham 64, Hawkins 50, Eifert 50, BJGE 23 ===== 284 receptions

In 2012 the team went 74 for 217 on third down. 34% conversion rate that’s 27th in the league.

Picture a 45% conversion rate giving us another 25 first downs or more importantly 25 more potential touchdown drives (or 175 more points for 1st place in league).

Seeing mocks that Tyler would go to Pittsburgh and being only four spots away, I think Marvin had it as part of his strategy to take him if he was there. I say Marvin made the right move.

Playoff caliber teams like the Chargers, Cowboys, Colts, and Patriots have many formations based around a simple personnel grouping: two tight ends, two receivers, and a running back. We will CRUSH! – Select a safety and a third down back today please!
