The more I think about it, the more I realize that despite the obvious holes we have at safety and LB, our defense was very good last season while our offense was holding us back. Clearly our offense is lacking the right number of playmakers to become truly dynamic and I dont think there is one player in this draft that can solve that. Keeping that in mind here is my best case scenario. I am aware there is no linebacker here, I believe Lamur is going to be good enough and as much as I hate Rey Malualuga, he will be starting, probably in the middle with Burfict on the outside. We can probably wait until next year unless one of the top linebackers takes a huge fall. Offense is my biggest priority and I think Safety is a bigger need than LB.
1) Tavon Austin/Keenan Allen WR - These players are both excellent at making people miss and generating YAC. While I like Andrew Hawkins, they are a clear upgrade. Austin is preferred but both could certainly fill that role. Green/Sanu/Austin would be a great WR core.
2a) Giovanni Bernard RB - Bernard has been linked to the bengals and offers a new dimension of offense from the backfield
2b) Terron Armstead OT - If we get Smith back I would probably go interior line here. I trust Anthony Collins but not enough to not draft someone who can play RT
3) DJ Swearinger/Baccari Rambo - Swearinger is preferred here since I think he will be a huge steal and maybe the best safety in the class. He is very aggressive and not bad in coverage.
5a) Zac Stacy RB - I am really high on Zac Stacy. He was a great player for Vanderbilt without much help against SEC defenses.
6a) Rod Sweeting CB - Was a play maker for Georgia Tech as a defensive back. Had a very good SunBowl covering Robert Woods and Marquis Lee. Could easily compete with Praeter for our last CB spot.
