Pete Prisco Names 3 Bengals In Top-100

Jared Wickerham

CBS Sports' Pete Prisco came out with his top-100 players in the NFL. There are three Bengals and two in the top-15.

Since we're in the middle of a long and boring offseason, every NFL analyst is coming out with their top-100 players in the league. Pete Prisco is the latest to come out with his. Prisco's top-100 isn't completely full of Bengals players, but there are three on the list. The bigger news is there are two in the top-15.

We'll start from the bottom.

No. 76. Michael Johnson

76. Michael Johnson, DE, Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals put the franchise tag on him for a reason. He is emerging as one of the next good pass rushers.

Johnson was second on the team in sacks in 2012 with 11.5 and proved to the Bengals he has what it takes to be a solid pass rusher from the defensive end position. Of course, those 11.5 sacks came in his contract year, so it will be interesting to see what he does in the future, but at least we know now that Johnson has the ability to wreak havoc in the backfield.

No. 14. A.J. Green

14. A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: He had 97 catches and led all receivers in 40-plus-yard receptions with seven. He also had 11 touchdowns. If he gets more help on the other side in 2013, watch out.

Green has been the biggest reason Andy Dalton has found success in the league. He can go up and get the ball and wrestle it away from defenders, even when the pass isn't a great one. He's the kind of receiver every team wants and needs, but only a few teams get lucky enough to have. The only receiver higher than Green on Prisco's list is Calvin Johnson (No. 3).

No. 7. Geno Atkins

7. Geno Atkins, DT, Cincinnati Bengals: If not for Watt, he might have been the Defensive Player of the Year. He is some kind of special inside. He had 12 sacks from the tackle spot.

The strength of the Bengals team is the defensive line and the strength of the defensive line is Geno Atkins. He's the most dominant interior defensive lineman in the league and is nearly unstoppable. He's great at rushing the passer from the inside, racking up 12.5 sacks in 2012, and is just as good against the run. He deserves a spot in the top-10.

What other Bengals players would you add, or you think deserve, a spot in the top-100?
