Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson continues to improve. Entering the season on a franchise contract, which will become a contract year if the Bengals and Johnson are unable to come to terms with an extension, Johnson isn't resting on a career-year last season.
He works to get better.
It was a theme that dates back to last season when Johnson "noticeably" gained muscle to his mid-260 frame.
"I'm still doing still the same stuff, but this year I'm working on more flexibility; staying loose and being mobile for as many weeks as we play," he said.

Which means hooking up with left end Robert Geathers for some yoga. Johnson took a hot yoga class at Tech during the evenings and found it fairly grueling as well as beneficial. "You had to keep from passing out," he said.
Johnson generated 11.5 quarterback sacks last season, falling one short of team leader Geno Atkins.
