Week 14: Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals
Date/Time: Dec. 8; 1 p.m. ET
Location: Paul Brown Stadium; Cincinnati, Ohio
Bengals 2012 record: 10-6 (0-1 playoffs)
Chargers 2012 record: 11-5 (0-1 playoffs)
9-17 Colts (3-8 in Cincinnati)
Key Draft Picks:
The Bengals have struggled against the Colts recently, but much of that had to do with struggling against Peyton Manning. Their win in 2011 over the Manning-less Colts was their first since 1997. The Colts, geographically the closest team to the Bengals, have a new quarterback, though, in Andrew Luck. While he's not a Manning (yet?) he obviously has the goods, leading the Colts to an 11-5 record with a poor defense and no running game in his rookie season.
The Bengals defense will need to be on top of their game against Luck to keep the Colts out of the end zone early and often. On top of that, the offense will need to score quite a few insurance touchdowns just to make sure they can compete if this game turns into a shootout. On paper, the Bengals are a better team, but I'm expecting big things from the Colts in 2013 and this game could be a tough one to win.
