A judge issued a warrant for former Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson's arrest in Broward County, Fla. on May 7, according to TMZ.
Johnson allegedly failed to report to his probation officer, which was assigned to him stemming from the domestic violence conviction involving his ex-wife Evelyn Lozada in 2012. Failing to report is a violation of his probation and if he did miss his probation meeting, he could see jail time. According to Johnson's Twitter account, he's in California.
Johnson was traded to the New England Patriots in 2011 for a fifth-round pick in 2012 and a sixth-round pick in 2013. After only racking up 276 receiving yards with one touchdown, the Patriots released him in June of 2012. He signed with the Dolphins, but was released following his arrest.
Johnson has caught 766 passes for 11,059 yards and 67 touchdowns, mostly with the Bengals where he played from 2001 through 2010. He is still the leading Bengals receiver in franchise history in both yards and touchdowns.
