The biggest trade of recent memory is the big Washington - St Louis trade.
Washing gave up #6 overall in 2012, #39 overall in 2012, plus a 1st round pick for 2013 and a 1st round pick for 2014... all to move up to #2 overall in 2012 (four spots).
.
Washington:
RGIII went on to lead the Redskins to a 6-0 regular season finish, which pushed them into the playoffs.
Following a great rookie season in which he compiled a great QB rating of 102.4 thanks to 20 TD passes to only 5 INT's. RGIII passed for 3,200 yards while rushing for over 800 yards and 7 rushing TD's.
.
St Louis:
They received a LOT in exchange for RGIII. And thanks to a ton of trading with those picks, have turned that 1 pick into a plethora of players:
Michael Brockers (DT) - A 1st round pick, he is a big defensive tackle who played 13 games, totaling 4 sacks and 31 tackles. Was ranked 21st vs. the run per PFF.
Rokevious Watkins (OG/OT) - A 5th round pick who appeared in 1 game.
Isaiah Pead (RB) - A 2nd round pick who appeared in 15 games. He only garnered 10 carries and 3 receptions on the season. Was quickly dropped to 3rd string RB, and with the drafting of Zac Stacy, could stay down as the #3 back.
Janoris Jenkins (CB) - Started 14 games at corner, is a talented playmaker who returned 3 INT's for TD's last year.
Alec Ogletree (LB) - Very athletic LB who posses a lot of upside if he can overcome his red flags which stem from issues of maturity.
Steadman Bailey (WR) - Had a prolific pass-catching season, surplanting Tavon Austin as the go-to receiver at West Virginia midway thru the season.
