Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Leon Hall was scratched from portions of last week's OTA practices when it was learned that the seventh-year cornerback had torn a thumb ligament while lifting weights earlier this month. Terence Newman and Adam Jones were the first-team corners -- at least until Jones suffered a calf injury that may keep him out until training camp (though OTA sessions aren't critical for veterans like Jones).
However Hall still took part in some individual drills, just not team-sessions. Though roughly the same schedule applies for this week, Hall told reporters on Wednesday that "he could be participating in all drills next week."
With Jones, Hall and Dre Kirkpatrick down, Brandon Ghee and Newman have taking part in a majority of the team's snaps. Kirkpatrick isn't expected back until training camp and Jones could miss all of OTAs and next month's mandatory camp.
The Bengals will have one more practice on Thursday, a four-practice week next week and then a three-day minicamp the week after.
