Now that the dust has cleared and a new season approaches. The draft is over, as well as a few new signings in FA and UDFA. I cannot help to think that the Bengals, despite Marvin's public announcement, will potentially go for Woodson if he continues to fade away.
I understand that because of his age and recent injury, some may not want him, but he will provide something great to our already amazing defense. We have never been opposed to taking aging defenders, especially because Zimmer can make them play as if they were a few years younger than they truly are.
If no one calls Woodson (which has not happened), the Bengals would be crazy to not add him in the mix, at least for some leadership. Crocker was great and a band-aid for our team, but how many people can say they have heard of him outside of the Cincinnati limits. Woodson was great and still can be on our team. I am not opposed to giving our youth a try, but we need someone who has been not regarded as good, but great in the position to help.
