Bengals "Official Rookie Pool" Maximum At $6,322,645

USA TODAY Sports

NFL teams traditionally take their time signing draft picks. But with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, it's happening sooner. The Bengals rookie pool stands from $5,612,732-$6,322,645.

Thank the football gods for the Collective Bargaining Agreement for at least one thing -- the configuration and acceleration of NFL rookie contracts. Only a handful of days following the great offseason event, players selected during the 2013 NFL draft are beginning to sign four-year deals, applied to the slotting system that's largely predetermined. The Chicago Bears have already announced four of their six draft picks are already contract. The Baltimore Ravens announced six signings on Thursday.

According to numbers obtained by Shutdown Corner, the Cincinnati Bengals have a $6,322,645 maximum rookie pool and a $5,612,732 million minimum. It's a number not far off projected values between $5-7 million reported. Cincinnati had a year-one rookie pool of $6.88 million last season.

Projected contracts based on the slotting system this year according to OverTheCap.com:
