Week 5: New England Patriots at Cincinnati Bengals
Date/Time: Oct. 6; 1 p.m. ET
Location: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio
Bengals 2012 record: 10-6 (0-1 playoffs)
Patriots 2012 record: 12-4 (1-1 playoffs)
8-14 Patriots (6-6 in Cincinnati)
Key Draft Picks:
The Patriots have set the tone for offensive production over the last several seasons. With Tom Brady behind center and with two of the most productive tight ends in the league, New England wins more often than not just by outscoring other teams. However, if they do have one Achilles' heel, it's their defense. While the Patriots can outscore most teams, they have been defeated because of their inability to stop other teams.
While the Bengals will have faced the Packers, Bears and Steelers at this point of the season, the Patriots will likely be the team's toughest challenge. The Bengals haven't defeated the Patriots since 2001 and while they may go into this game as underdogs, the Bengals' defense is good enough and their offense has the potential to defeat Brady and the Patriots' offense.
