Add another name to the Bengals minicamp tryout list. According to Tom James of the Terre Haute Tribune-Star, Indiana State safety Alex Sewall will be attending this weekend's event on a tryout basis.
Finally, former IndState S Alex Sewell is scheduled to participate in the Bengals rookie camp this weekend. Will be trying out.

Sewall's path to the NFL is a bit unconventional. He graduated from Indiana State University in 2011 and spent all of 2012 as an offensive assistant coach for the Sycamores. Prior to that, he was named to the Capital One Academic All-America First Team and was a major factor in turning around the Indiana State program from a bottom-dweller to a conference contender. Following his senior season, Sewall had hoped to catch onto an NFL roster, but his recovery from an ACL injury forced him to delay a year. Now he'll get his shot this weekend with the Bengals.
At 6'1 and 205 pounds, Sewall has adequate size for the NFL, but must first overcome questions about the level of competition he faced in the Missouri Valley Conference. Ultimately, he will be one of the longer shots to make the 90-man roster.
