This is more of a personal roster preference rather than predicting what will actually happen.
FB: Chris Pressley (1)
Various comments- Skelton's starting experience puts him over Josh Johnson though it's not a very inspiring battle; if Gruden thinks Johnson is good as a read-option QB or the Bengals sign someone else certainly things could change.
I kept Pressley over a fourth TE in Alex Smith; I like a traditional blocking fullback. Smith is a 31-year-old journeyman on a 1-year deal, while the talented Charles is kept to develop with an eye on Gresham's expiring contract, and could be used as a receiving FB also.
Keeping Hamilton and Whalen over Tate should be agreeable with many, as well as Fragel over Roland. There's a chance Wharton is cut due to salary; if so then Hawkinson might make it.
I went pretty conservative with the linebackers, keeping a known commodity in Vincent Rey over wild cards in DiManche, Joiner, Campbell, etc. Simply put, there's no Vontaze Burfict among that group. I also kept 6 backers instead of 7, considering there are already 9 D-linemen.
Even though Lewis-Harris was undrafted, he was actually on the field last season and looked pretty decent. Ghee and Prater, while drafted higher, have not done much at all. So it doesn't make sense for me to keep both of the injury-prone players, rather only one. Onterio McCalebb might be nice as a returner, but I'm not sold on him as a CB. Bernard, Pacman, Hawkins, Peerman, and Marvin Jones can all return.
