Gear up. It's the 2013 NFL supplemental draft this Thursday! Fire up the Tool Time sponsored propane tank for the mountains of steaks and meats. We're getting ready for the supplemental mock draft.
No? Alright. It doesn't have the same five-finger death punch that the annual draft in April has. And for the most part, Thursday will quietly swing through like an Ohio thunderstorm during a muggy July afternoon.
But there is actually a mock draft on the interwebz.
Henry Hodgson, NFL.com's "supplemental draft expert", mocks the six draft-eligible players. However, only one player, Dewayne Peace, was selected in the seventh round, by the Detroit Lions. Other than that, all quiet on the drafting front.
Don't worry. We'll keep our ear to the ground on Thursday, but we're not expecting Cincinnati to make any selections on Thursday. Especially since the Bengals have only selected one player (Ahmad Brooks in 2006) in the past 36 years.
