BENGALS trivia Question to pass time in the offseason (#9) ... ANSWERED

Because punters (and kickers) are people too....

At least, that’s what they say.

But that’s the one good thing about re-signing Maualuga, at least now the fans can say that the kicker & punter aren’t the least favorite players on the roster. They’ve got the "lost in space" whiff-master Ray reserved for that role.

For a kicker, it’s important to hit the Field Goals that you’re supposed to hit.
When you’re 25 yards away, and the coach decides to kick, you want to have that confidence that your kicker is going to nail that kick. Especially at the NFL level.
You want to be able to count those 3 points.
And when it comes to a touchdown, you want to be able to think that it’s "7" and not "6".
Us fans have counting by 7’s down pat, don’t make us learn to count by 6’s, please.

So with that in mind, who is the Bengals’ most automatic kicker for the kicks that fans want to count as nearly automatic (everything under 40)?

This only applies to Bengals who have attempted at least 50 Bengal Field Goals.

Which kicker in his Bengals’ career has the best Field Goal percentage from 0 thru 39 yards?
Which kicker in his Bengals’ career has the best Extra Point percentage?
Hint... it’s the same guy.

On an unrelated side note, Josh Brown is the ONLY Bengals’ kicker to be 100% inside of 40 AND 100% for extra points. He is 7 of 7 on FGA’s inside 40 and is 8 for 8 on XPA’s. But his 1/2 season of work is too little of a sample size to qualify.
