Cincinnati Bengals left tackle Andrew Whitworth will miss his third consecutive practice on Wednesday, according to Geoff Hobson with Bengals.com. Including the players day off on Tuesday, Whitworth will have had a four-day vacation but Hobson points out that Whitworth "see no long-term issues".

Whitworth is still recovering from an offseason procedure to fix damage in his knee that's affected his play over the past two years. When asked about it on Wednesday, Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis acknowledged the need for rest but also said that they want to make sure that he has the stamina built up for 70-play games.
"I thought it was a thing I could tough out, but it kind of wears on you," Whitworth said earlier this year. "It was time to get it fixed and I feel great. I don't feel any different than the first day I played in the NFL."
