So I just finished up the draft for my FFL. To be honest, I think I'm looking pretty damn good this year. However, in the very last round, I had a huge choice to make.
Somehow, both Mohammed Sanu and Tyler Eifert were still available. With only one pick left in my league's draft, I wanted to grab one of them, but I couldn't grab both. In my strategy, I like to be deep at WR, knowing that many of the 'leet WR's come and go each year, and WR is (often) the best place to find a sleeper. But I sense that Eifert could be that same thing. Damn, it was a hugely tough call.
In the end.... I had to click the button. And what Sanu did last year before he got hurt won out over the Rook. Yeah... I drafted Sanu.
But that's not the end of the story. I had drafted Jordy Nelson in an earlier round - a move made because I've had good success with him in the past, and I had him high on my board without fully realizing he just had knee surgery (although he's still "supposedly" going to be ready for week 1). So.... at the end of the draft, I dropped him and put in a waiver request for Eifert.
BTW.... I'm super-excited that I managed to get the Bengals D, and my backup QB is Andy Dalton (I pissed off the 4 or 5 Panthers fans in my league by grabbing Newton in the 1st round).
So... What would you have done if in a similar situation? Last round of the draft, and both Sanu and Eifert are available...
