I was reading Josh's roster article today and started wondering which guys might draw trade interest from another team. He is a short list of possibilities:
QB - Skelton (only if there are 2-4 teams with terrible backups and desperately wanting a semi-solid option)
FB - Conner (if a team that is dependent on FB has a late injury, I could see this happening... but prob not that likely)
TE - a team like NE or Miami might offer a late round pick for Alex Smith
OL - Roland & Pollak are vets who could be short-term solutions to big problems for some teams
DE - This is way out there... but I think we'd consider trading Michael Johnson for a bad team's 1st Round pick in 2014
CB - Brandon Ghee seems to be a prime candidate for someone to acquire. He could start for a few teams, I believe.
Trades in the NFL are rare these days. You have to have a perfect situation to perform one. We really don't have any blaring needs, so I doubt we'd be interested in more than getting a draft pick or two. If I had to rank the options, I'd look for Skelton, Ghee, and Alex Smith as my 1-2-3 top options. That said, a trade is unlikely in my opinion.
