+ Willie Anderson was named as a first-year candidate for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, becoming the first modern candidate with a legitimate chance since Boomer Esiason.

+ Pro Bowl left tackle Andrew Whitworth confirmed that he had a second procedure recently but not exactly for the same injury.

+ Vontaze Burfict suffered a thigh bruise against the Chicago Bears, which limited him on Thursday. The second-year defensive signal-caller was upgraded to full participation on Friday.

+ Steelers tight end Heath Miller could make his season debut against the Bengals, though he was limited during practice on Thursday and Friday. Otherwise, the Steelers are literally hurting heading into Monday Night's game against the Bengals. Recently signed center Fernando Velasco is starting for Pittsburgh.
