After 2 weeks... rookie RB’s

For those Bengals’ fans who are just waking from a coma, welcome back to the land of the fully aware and cognizant. Secondly, the Bengals drafted a running back this April.

After 2 weeks, none of the rookie RB’s have emerged as their team’s main weapon in the backfield, but are either in comities, or in committees. So no Doug Martin or Alfred Morris or Trent Richardson situations have emerged to date.

Anyway, here is how they have done thus far...

RUSHING
Gio Bernard (#37) ... 60 yards, 1 TD, 5.0 ypc
Eddie Lacy (#61) ... 51 yards, 1 TD, 3.4 ypc
Montee Ball (#58) ... 40 yards, 0 TD’s, 2.0 ypc
Andre Ellington (#187) ... 20 yards, 0 TD’s, 5.0 ypc
Knile Davis (#96) ... 12 yards, 0 TD’s, 3.0 ypc
Spencer Ware (#194) ... 10 yards, 0 TD’s, 3.3 ypc
Zac Stacy (#160) ... 4 yards, 0 TD’s, 4.0 ypc
Stepfan Taylor (#140) ... 2 yards, 0 TD’s, 2.0 ypc

TOTAL YARDS
Gio Bernard (#37) ... 95 total yards, 2 TD’s
Eddie Lacy (#61) ... 82 total yards, 1 total TD
Andre Ellington (#187) ... 75 yards, 1 total TD
Montee Ball (#58) ... 67 yards, 0 total TD’s
Knile Davis (#96) ... 17 total yards, 0 total TD’s
Spencer Ware (#194) ... 10 total yards, 0 total TD’s
Zac Stacy (#160) ... 4 total yards, 0 total TD’s
Stepfan Taylor (#140) ... 2 total yards, 0 total TD’s

THE UNPRODUCTIVE
Le’Veon Bell (#48)
Christine Michael (#62)
Jonathan Franklin (#125)
Marcus Lattimore (#131)
Joseph Randle (#151)
Chris Thompson (#154)
Mike Gillislee (#164)
Latavius Murray (#181)
Kenjon Barner (#182)
Mike James (#189)
Rex Burkhead (#190)
Theo Riddick (#199)
Jawan Jamison (#228)
Kerwynn Wiliams (#230)
Michael Cox (#253)

So to review, Gio has the most rushing yards, the most total yards, the most rushing TD’s, the most total TD’s, and the best yards per carry.

It was not an especially strong RB class, so hopefully Gio can keep up the lead in all these categories vs his draftmates throughout their careers :-)
