See PFF's "About" page for more information on their grading system.
Note: Those with PFF subscriptions may have noticed that the grades posted initially frequently change later in the week (presumably after the All-22 video footage becomes available, giving the analysts a better look). With that in mind, here are notable modifications to Week 2's initial grades:
-They added Domata Peko on offense- he graded +1.0 in just 3 snaps
-Whitworth dropped from +4.6 to +3.6 and Boling dropped from +4.1 also to +3.6 to share the highest grade on offense.
Now, on to Week 3!
Best: Giovani Bernard (+1.9; +0.8 pass, +0.6 rush, +0.5 pass block)
Best: Michael Johnson (+7.1; +4.4 run defense; +2.4 pass rush)
Worst: Vontaze Burfict (-3.8)
Other performances of note:
-In contrast to the first two games, George Iloka (+0.8 overall) graded well in pass coverage (+1.3) but not against the run (-0.7). He's a dead even 0.0 on the year.
-The last time Geno graded in the negative was week 9 of 2011 (-1.9). This is the lowest he's ever graded in a game. Josh takes a closer look.
-Michael Johnson leads all 4-3 DE's in cumulative run defense grade (+8.8) and is second overall among DE's to Robert Quinn.
