The 2014 Cricket World Cup Qualifier just began last week. Who you rooting for?

So far 4 matches are completed:

Uganda got crushed by the Netherlands 155/3 to 152.
Uganda was all out with only 152 runs? Ouch!

Papua New Guinea defeated Kenya 250/2 (42.5/50) to 249/9.
Papau had a good game after their lackluster warmup game performances, scoring the required runs with 7.1 innings yet to be bowled.

UAE hammered Nepal 297/8 to 195.
Behind Shaiman Anwar batting over a century with a pile of overs (eight 4’s and eight 6’s), UAE put up a high run rate that Nepal just couldn’t come close to matching.

Hong Kong edged out Scotland 263/7 to 246 (48.4/50).
Scotland batted well, but got off to a slow start behind their first 2 batsmen, and just couldn’t generate enough runs, despite having a batsman scoring a century.

The elite teams (Austraila, India, New Zeland, Pakistan, etc…) are all going to be in the 2015 World Cup, but this tourney is the chance to fill out the rest of the field.
