it was a putrid second half against SD - Sum of All Fears - it was blow to the Team/Fans and City
Not as bad now because:
Time has passed
Peyton vs. Brady in AFC Championship - those guys are pretty good
Seeing Gruden and Zim go - and the quick promotion's of Hue/Guenther - was good - somehow/someway Cincy has built a very strong organization in last three years - that is deep in both coaches and players - good to see. Zim and Gruden both earned and got their shots - and they are in the NFC so we can cheer for them (I hope they both do well).
The "Bengal Way" of last three years will continue - and that's a good thing - we can hoot and holler all we want about change this/change that - but the fundamentals are pretty strong - draft well, resign your own, sign Vet FA's that can contribute and don't cost that much.
The big difference going forward will be the cap - Cincy is going to hit that cap, and will not have the luxury of a QB, top flight WR, and emerging and dominant LB for cheap. May have to cut more vets than they have in the past.
No easy answers on Dalton - it's just how it is. The most bothersome thing this offseason is hearing that Dalton had lousy practices the coaching staff babied him - who knows how true that is.
Looks like a playoff team again next year - so we wait for the 2015 playoffs. - make the pain go away...........
