2014 Bengals Mock Draft: Postseason Edition

With the top 20 picks solidified (outside of the Ravens and the Cowboys selection), I thought that I would take a stab at which players could help the Bengals create a dynasty.

Note: I do believe that the Bengals have a great chance of securing the 32nd overall pick, however, I am going on overall record at this point.

Round One:

The Cincinnati Bengals trade the 25th overall pick to the Houston Texans for the 33rd (2nd) and 97th (4th) overall pick along with a future 5th round selection. Houston Texans selects A.J. McCarron-QB/ Alabama.

Round Two:

With the 33rd overall selection, the Cincinnati Bengals select Trent Murphy-DE/Stanford (6'6'', 265lbs)

Strengths: pure pass rusher, versatile, technique, awareness, strength.

Weaknesses: lacks initial explosiveness, not great run stopper.

With the 57th overall selection, the Cincinnati Bengals selects Loucheiz Purifoy-CB/Florida (6'0'', 190lbs)

Strengths: most athletic CB in draft, very quick, shut down corner, physical enough to take on larger receiver.

Weaknesses: unimpressive stats, destroyed by Kelvin Benjamin in final game as Gator.

Round Three:

With the 89th overall pick, the Cincinnati Bengals selects Ja'Wuan James-OT/Tennessee (6'6'', 315lbs)

With the 97th overall pick, the Cincinnati Bengals selects Logan Thomas-QB/Virginia Tech (6'6'', 260lbs)
