My question to you guys is this. Will we end up being like the Houston Texans of the last 3 years?
They were believed to have one of the most talented and young rosters in the entire NFL. Had an elite WR in Andre, had a nice TE duo is Daniels/Graham, nice rb combo in tate/foster, good oline, and a mean top 10 defense. And a QB in Shaub who could manage the game, and take over at times. (yes i know he had a bad, career derailing year)
This sounds just like the current Bengals team.
Kubiak was the houstons texans coach for 7 years, which is longer then the average coach. Similar to Marvins long tenure.
Texans would go to beat the Bengals the last 2 years in the playoffs.
Then go crumble after starting 2-0 this season. Now have the very 1st pick in the NFL draft. Also fired their HC.
The Texans seemed to have lost all their energy and will to fight after seeing their QB throw int after int....they attempted a QB switch mid season, but it wasn't enough to get a spark on the offense they needed.
And if we lose Gruden/Zimmer/Jackson, then what? We'd be down a DC/OC/OC (RBcoach)
That could derail a lot of things just by itself.
So do we end up like the Texans? Having a nice roster, but then fade away due to not achieving success with it, and not having a consistent QB?
