Lewis to Stay, Dalton competition

I am from Saint Lucia (Caribbean), I started watching football after playing Madden in 1995/6. I naturally didn’t have a team to route for. As a fan of defense I feel in love with Tony Dungy’s Buc teams, but still could not say I was a fan. Meanwhile (comic book reference) Marvin Lewis was coaching the best defense ever in 2000, and not getting a Head Coaching gig after a tremendous coaching job, which irked me. He was forced to move to Washington before Mike Brown gave him a shot, naturally being a lover of defense and now Mike Brown (for giving the black coach who i felt deserved it before 2003, his chance) and Lewis I started to root for the Bengals and over the years since my fandom has grown (am posting on CJ) and I now bleed orange and black. WHODEY for life

With the smallest scouting department in the league and the departure when Lewis arrived of one of the best LB’s in football Teko Spikes, Marvin began to build a winning program. I watched from a far when the team drafted Akili Smith, Peter Warrick and other first round busts routinely, under Marvin we get it right far more often.

For those of us who want coach Lewis fired remember the years prior to his arrival……………….tough loss on Sunday, we should be ticked off I was; hurt, pissed, happy (cause Jay Gruden might leave), sad. But as Bengal fans we are crying, mad about playoff losses, before Lewis we were the Cleveland Browns routinely picking in the top ten in the draft. Lewis an outstanding coach………..

Andy Dalton didn't play well; he has never played well under the lights regular season or playoffs. When lights came for Sunday / Thursday night football or playoffs, he seemingly is freakishly aware of the implication and just plays poorly. Dian Sanders said it best in my mind "Andy can’t seem to handle the moment". We need to draft a QB in the second or third round in the draft (AJ Mc Carron comes to mind, Andish but a proven winner) to at least be viable competition for Andy in camp.

In short Marvin Lewis is an outstanding coach, Andy Dalton is flawed (I’ve said as much in my previous posts).

WHODEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For life.
