Playing around with fanspeak, I traded our first to Buffalo for their 2, 3, and 4, all number 9 in the round. As deep as this draft is, I feel like moving back 17 spots is not that big of talent discrepancy. That said, here was the outcome.
41. Ryan Shazier OLB OSU
Athletic freak, great value in the early second round. Allowing Vontaze to move home to MLB.
55. Marcus Martin C USC
Watch the tape of him against Louis Nix and ND, he provides everything Cook doesn't.
73. Stanley Jean-Baptiste CB Nebraska
Long, athletic, corner that can cover the Brandon Marshall's and Vincent Jackson's of the NFL.
88. Stephon Tuitt DT/DE ND
If this happens, it would be a huge steal IMO. Versatile, physical lineman that would fit well in our rotation on the Dline.
105. Terrence West RB Towson
Big back, decent speed, the "Thunder," to Gio's "Lightning." Also makes Lawfirm and his grossly large 3M/yr. salary.
119. Will Clarke DE WVU
Basically a Michael Johnson clone, could be special in our defense.
152. Victor Hampton CB South Carolina
Physical corner, we need to prepare our secondary for when Terrence Newman, Adam Jones, and Leon Hall aren't here. What better draft than this to double dip and get Dre, two running mates for the future.
183. Tajh Boyd QB Clemson
Has consistently fell down draft boards and he may never realize some of the substantial potential he has, but what better way for a guy to succeed than to sit and watch a successful team operate.
216. J. C. Copeland FB LSU
Big boy that can blast holes, will be even more effective if he loses some fat and gets Lean.
