Here is a list of a few guys that I feel need to step up their play for this team to get back to where it was last year at a minimum, and hopefully take another step towards a Super Bowl.
Please feel free to list any you feel I should have listed, or counter why the guy I listed shouldn't be included.
Andy Dalton - if he wants to prove his value, this is the season to do so. Not only is it a contract year, but the coaching staff has vowed to put less responsibility on Andy by creating a more balance offense, emphasizing the run more than we have the past few years.
BJGE - with more focus on running the ball this year, there will be an opportunity for The Law Firm to show just why Marvin Lewis was so adamant about bringing him here. If he doesn't, he will lose carries to Rex Burkhead, or maybe a rookie if one is drafted or signed.
Mike Pollak - the C position is yours to lose. This is your chance to show why you were a Rimington finalist at ASU.
Margus Hunt - now is the time to show you can be just as effective as the guy you're replacing...Wallace Gilberry. With Gilberry replacing MJ, we need someone to pick up those 6-8 sacks that he got in rotational duty.
Devon Still - this may be your last chance to show you have what it takes to make it as a DT in this rotation. Effort, health, and drive have all been questioned since your arrival. Prove us wrong, and show you belong.
