Cincy Jungle Writer's Mock Draft: St. Louis Rams on the Clock

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

The Rams are on the clock, but will they trade this pick?

Time for the latest edition of the Cincy Jungle Writer's Mock Draft. Be sure to keep up with all of the picks in a out stream page.

Next up are the St, Louis Rams, and this will be one of the harder teams to project since they'd like to trade out of the No. 2 spot.

Mickey: Rams take Greg Robinson OT, Auburn

The Rams look to improve their running game for next season and a strong offensive line is a need for them. Robinson looks to be the type of lineman with a huge upside based on his strength, size and ability to move. At Auburn he was able to latch on and completely dominate his blocks in the running game.

There are some questions about his ability to pass block but with his physical tools, most think he will be fine. There are several lineman that could help the Rams in the first round and this could create the potential for a trade down from this spot.

Anthony: TRADE, Falcons give up picks to move up. They take Jadeveon Clowney.

Atlanta is in dire need of pass rushers and their focus this offseason has been to become more physical. There are few players in the draft, if any, that are more physical than Clowney and he would impact their defense immediately. The Falcons aren't shy about moving up to get "their guy", as they did a few years ago with Julio Jones and I suspect that they will do it again.

Some believe that Clowney is a once - in - a- generation player, while others have doubts because of his lack of statistical production last season. Regardless, he is the best overall player in the draft and will go within the first couple of oucjs. I say it's no.2 to the Falcons after a trade.

Jason Rams take Greg Robinson

I think the Rams should take a QB here, but they appear committed to Sam Bradford. If that's truly the case, then they need to start protecting him better, and Robinson is easily going to end up being one of the best lineman in the draft.

Robinson does everything you ask of him, whether it be a mauler in run blocking, or a lockdown pass protector, he's the real deal.

I really like him to the Rams because of how many screens/short passes they like to run that require tackles to get into space and block. That requires some athletic and fast lineman, and there isn't a better fit for them than Robinson, who is used to that kind of offense form his days in Gus Malzahn's offense at Auburn.
