Draft is Coming...Simple Mock Draft

1. Xavier Su'a-Filo (LG)

2. Weston Richburg (C)

3. Pierre Desir (CB)

4. C.J. Fiedorowicz (TE)

5. Brent Urban (DE)

6. Brandon Thomas (OG) - injured and likely to IR for the year

6. Isaiah Crowell (RB)

7. Garrett Gilbert (QB)

7. Aaron Colvin (CB) - injured and likely to IR for the year.

I have no worries about drafting injured players for potentially great value with such a deep roster. Su'a-Filo is projected to fit a power scheme very well with our new running approach (thank god). Richburg would be our new starting center allowing Pollack to play backup roles at center and guard and Boling an slow recovery if necessary. Desir would give us a good press corner who can learn from our veterans. Fiedorowicz could replace Charles and give us a good blocking TE and an option for letting go of Gresham if he continues making mistakes and commands a lot of money next year. Brent Urban has great size and could be compared to Margus Hunt in this way. He wouldn't need to play right away allowing him much needed time to develop. Brandon Thomas would be great value here insuring our line for years with his ability to play G/T, sound like our new Anthony Collins once healthy? Isaiah Crowell could be my favorite pick. Solid and durable runner who could replace BJGE in a year as a more dynamic option. Workhorse kind of guy, taking pressure off Bernard and allowing him to catch more balls in the open field (which is where we want him taking less crushing hits). Garrett Gilbert could fit a west coast offense well and would have much time to learn from Jason Campbell as insurance for the future. Aaron Colvin would simply be such good value at this stage of the draft, potentially making a CB depth even better next year while we assumingly add more CBs in the 2015 draft.
