Bengals Mock Draft

This is a draft I did at fanspeak.com

Let me know your thoughts... hope you like it.

Cheers

24. Derek Carr - QB

If Derek Carr is there at 24 we need to take him. Not only to push Andy Dalton but so that the Browns don't get him with the 26th pick. I feel that there is a pretty big dropoff after you get past the top 5-6 quarterbacks. We shouldn't be drafting a QB just to draft one, we need to draft one with upsides and a ceiling that Dalton doesn't have. Otherwise we might as well wait until next years draft to draft a QB.

55. Carlos Hyde - RB

I couldn't resist taking Carlos Hyde sitting there this late in the second round. This pick sures up our RB situation for the next 4+ years with the Gio/Hyde combo. Pretty scary. You're welcome Hue.

88. Juwuan James - OT

James is a great prospect to learn behind Whitworth and gives us much needed O-Line depth. I think that the OT quality drops off considerably after the 3rd round so if we get one it has to be fairly early. James can play at G as well.

123. E.J. Gaines - CB

This draft is extremely deep with CB's which gives us the luxury of drafting E.J. Gaines in the fourth. The kid had 5 interceptions and shut down Mike Evans in the SEC championship game. The kids a playmaker and would give us much needed depth.

164. Bryan Stork - C

A top-5 center that was part of the national championship team in the 5th? Thank you. Stork could come in and start and potentially push Pollak to LG. This provides additional depth to the O-Line.

199. Aaron Lynch - DE

I believe Gilberry is an absolute beast and will replace MJ93 well. Along with Hunt, Dunlap, Geno, Peko, Thompson, Still.... we are still stacked. Lynch has huge upside in the 6th and has a great group of leaders to learn from. He could be a steal.

212. Aaron Colvin - CB

Will start on the PUP list this year but will provide much needed CB depth to our aging group. Colvin could also be a steal.

239. Max Bullough - ILB

A great LB that led one of the best defenses in the country last year. Bullough would have time to learn behind Burfict and would provide depth to a solid LB group.

252. John Brown - WR

This guy has pure speed and could provide a repacement for Hawkins in the slot. Additionally, we could try him out as a returner. It will be tough to make the roster as a WR so this is a luxury pick.

UFA: JC Copeland/ Jay Prosch / Trey Millard - FB

We should definitely consider adding a FB from this years draft and I believe we can get one that is undrafted.
