The 24th pick of the draft has produced some pretty good players throughout the years. I think it's vital for us to fulfill that tradition with BPA. An impact player would be beneficial to the team success this year. A guy like Aaron Donald, Dee Ford, Zach Martin, Carlos Hyde (trade back) come to my mind for the 24th pick. Though Martin may not be there as well as Dennard. A serious run on CB's might occur this year within the first round. A few mock drafts have us taking the 3rd or 4th best CB.
So my question to you is, Who would you like and hate for the Bengals to select in the first round and why? Mine is Carlos Hyde if we trade back. I feel he would give us that power run game we desire. A Rb's shelf life doesn't last long at all. Gio does not need to take that beating. If he were to get hurt then we're left with twinkle toes and an unproven Rb in Burkhead who hasn't really seen any playing time this past year.
Bradley Roby would be the pick I hate to see in the first. The guy has a ton of potential but to me he lacks cover skills. I feel that if we pick him it's like Kirkpatrick all over again. Not with the injuries but with lacking mental aspects of playing CB. He has a ton of speed but he seems to get beat too often and needs serious work to complete his overall game.
