There is no QB competition.

I just want to get this out of the way. Whatever your feelings about Dalton. However better/worse you think McCarron is. No matter how much you love or hate this fact, it remains a fact. McCarron is not going to take Dalton's job this year

I don't know how early it'll come about, but it's inevitable. Dalton is going to throw an INT or two. Or he'll fumble. Or he'll miss AJ on an easy touchdown. And the calls for McCarron will start. First it'll be a few sporadic calls, but then it'll start to take over the comments. I mean, we had calls to put in Josh freaking Johnson last year, so it's pretty much guaranteed. It'll eventually overrun the comments on game day, then the comments midweek. Then the fan posts will start. And then the mainpage posts. And Chili will spam every thread insisting that McCarron brings fear.

But there will be no change. Even if you are 100% right and McCarron is a better QB. It's not going to happen. Dalton is the team's QB. Hate the FO and coaching staff for this, fine. Think they're idiots, fine. But just understand now, it's not going to happen. Next year, maybe, but not this year.

So don't get your hopes up. Don't build it up in your mind that McCarron will be starting by Week __. He's not. As long as Dalton is healthy this year, he's our starter. That's the way this team works. If you don't like it, fine, but this is the team you've chosen to support, so like it or not, Dalton is going to be your QB for the season.

So just say woosah and prepare yourself now. Try not to drive the rest of us insane in the comments by demanding something that you should have known since May would never happen. Next year, we'll see. But this year, Dalton is our starter.
