There was no real desire to trade up or down early......although I'm sure we listened to offers, we realize that time will tell how a prospect performs in the nfl (no matter what kiper or the combine statistics say). So we stayed at our position and got a good project at CB in the first (by the way, they are all prospects- no player is for sure, and some projects take longer than others). I'm not happy with Hill, but again (like eifert last year) we took BPA by our board standards and created depth at an important position. Clarke is a great pick, but I'm a mountaineer so I am biased. Then we sacrificed a sixth round pick to get a guy we obviously wanted in the fourth that will be versatile on the o-line. Took what came after that, and now we do the work and see what transpires.
We have grown up as an organization. I'm not crazy excited about this draft.......but I am very proud of the professional, patient, and confident organization that we appear to be now.
