I have been going through some sleepers from the rookie class. Many have mentioned Nikita Whitlock as one that could be a sleeper at fullback. I agree he is intriguing with his size and the amount of weight he throws around in the weight room. However, the one that I am more excited about is Hewitt. Hewitt is not as compact as Whitlock and May be less of a wrecking ball in the running game. However at Stanford he was used to do what Orson Charles was intended to do last year, be an H-Back. I would argue that Hewitt is a better lead blocker than eifert or Charles and that he is more than adequate to be a fullback in the nfl and make our offense more dynamic.
Looking at how Hue used Marcel Reece whom I think is comparable to Hewitt in some regards I think that Ryan Hewitt adds the most to this offense between him and Whitlock. I would also argue that if he makes the roster he would have a bigger impact on our team than Eifert did last year (2 touchdowns and questionable blocking) stats wise. I could see him being a 4-5 touchdown guy that is a lead blocker for hill and gio that helps them have stellar years.
What do you guys think?
