Bengals Injury Report: Geno Atkins and Leon Hall present but not practicing

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

Memorial Day weekend marks the true beginning of the summer, and that means NFL teams are in the middle of Organized Team Activities. This is the first real opportunity to see all of their players on the field, even if it's without pads.

For the Cincinnati Bengals, it's also an opportunity for them to see all of their injured players and gauge how far they are in their recovery, and when they'll be able to contribute again.

Starting left guard Clint Boling is the most notable offensive player recovering from a season-ending injury last year. He's recovering from a torn ACL in Week 13, and rehabilitation from that injury usually takes around eight months. That means Boling will be lucky to even play in the final preseason game.

Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson reports Boling should be ready for the start of the regular season. In the meantime, undrafted guard Trey Hopkins could benefit the most from his absence

Hopkins is going to get some snaps in the spring and summer as Clint Boling rehabs from an ACL. But it is coming along so well there’s a belief Boling will be ready for the start of the regular season if not as the starter, as a backup.

All-Pro defensive tackle Geno Atkins is also recovering from a torn ACL, but he tore his in Week 9, and he's expected to be ready for the start of the regular season.

As for cornerback Leon Hallhe's expected to be ready for the start of training camp after tearing his Achilles tendon in Week 7 last season. It was the second time he's suffered this injury, though it was on the opposite leg this time.

For the start of Bengals OTAs Tuesday, Hall, Atkins and Boling weren't in jerseys, but were participating in the stretching period.
