Svitek (pronounced "SVEE-tek") is a ninth-year NFL player from Stanford. A 6'6", 310-pounder, Svitek has played previously with Kansas City (2005-07), Atlanta (2009-12) and New England (2013). He has 74 NFL games played and 18 starts. He played 11 games with two starts for New England last season.
Hampton (5-9, 197), a college free agent from South Carolina, played three seasons (2011-13) for the Gamecocks, seeing action in 36 games with 22 starts.
Burton is a third-year NFL player. He played in 14 games with one start for Minnesota over 2011-12. He was with the Vikings in the 2013 preseason and played in Games 1-5 of this season with Buffalo before being waived on Oct. 28. Burton later signed a future/reserve contract to join the Bengal' offseason roster.
Taylor, a first-year player from Virginia Tech, was signed for 2014 after a 2013 season in which he spent Games 10-16 and the Wild Card playoff on the Cincinnati practice squad.
With the additions of Svitek and Hampton, a well as tight end Alex Smith, the Bengals are now at the 90-man offseason roster limit.
