HELLLOOOOOOOO CINCINNATI!!!!!

FOOOOTBALLLLLLLL!!!

Yes, Bengals fans! Real, honest-to-God 'Murican football is almost upon us in (kinda) full force! No more sissy CFL throw-ball, no more hitting your own teammates, no more speculation. Time to finally face off against another opponent in a game that will have a real winner and loser (even if the final score doesn't really matter).

The last time we faced was not a pretty one for our side, an ugly 28-6 blowout during the Chiefs abysmal 2012 season. But I think we like to think we've grown since then, going 11-5 just like you guys. As a matter of fact, we may have more in common than that.

Some of you may be thinking that it's too early for this, that I'm a big dumb overzealous piece of garbage for even considering posting something like this for a preseason game. And to you I say "Buzz off, Buster Brown! I didn't sit through 6 months of boring offseason to not jump at the first opportunity to act as though it's gameday.

I suppose the thing that is most valuable to be gained is knowing what we're up against so we have a proper measuring stick to use when evaluating our own players. So if you would be so kind as to discuss your camp standouts to us, that would be just AWESOME.

Players to watch for

RG #73 Zach Fulton. Rookie sixth round mauler who has been phenomenal in camp and has seized the starting RG spot from veteran Rishaw Johnson. He's looked great, but we need to see how he does against an NFL starting DL and the Bengals front will be an awesome "welcome to the NFL" moment for him.

WR #8 Albert Wilson. Has been a playmaker at camp after being undrafted, and we're really wanting to see if he sticks around. The CIN secondary should be an interesting test.

LT #72 Eric Fisher. Last year's #1 overall selection who sorta disappointed his first year but flashed potential. Has looked much more confident and has been impressive at camp following a 20 pound weight gain and a move back to left tackle. But we need to know he's legit.

WR/RB/PR/KR #1 De'Anthony Thomas. Has been an explosive, fun player so far and a versatile threat from all over the field. Will be one to watch when you get deeper into the game.

TE #47 Demetrius Harris. Second year player, former basketball-only guy. Has gained weight to get to 6'7, 260 pounds this offseason and still is a great athlete who can make highlight plays and has taken reps with the first team. Has faltered in contact drills so we want to see in-game production from him.

TE #87 Travis Kelce. Second year player who sat out his entire first year with injury, we want to see if he's the dynamic player he was billed as.

DE #97 Allen Bailey. Gained 20 pounds of muscle this offseason to get to a svelte 300 pounds, has shown off his strength and power this training camp and snatched the starting LDE spot from free agent Vance Walker, who many felt was a shoe-in to start.

DE #77 Mike Catapano. 2013 7th round pick and former Ivy League DPOY, another defensive end who gained a lot of weight, "Big Cat" was 270 pounds as a 3-4 DE pass rushing specialist last year and has gotten up to 297 this year. He's an explosive athlete with a powerful first punch and a brutal rip move. Has taken first team reps and played well last year, so we need a big jump from him.

Feel free to ask questions and discuss!

GO FOOTBALLLLLL!!!!!
