The Bengals' injury list on Wednesday was pretty lengthy with Carlos Dunlap reappearing on the list with a shoulder injury. Dunlap left the Bengals' game against the Steelers in Week 8 with a shoulder injury, but didn't miss Weeks 9 or 10. He did not appear on last week's injury report, so it's not a great sign that he's back on the list. Though, it's encouraging that he got in a limited practice to open the week, and he may just be getting some additional rest to make sure he's ready to play on Sunday night. It is a six day week with a west coast trip after all.
Vontaze Burfict was limited on Wednesday, as he was last week, with a knee injury. From what we've seen so far, his limited practice shouldn't be too concerning. He was limited last week but played against the Texans and didn't appear to miss a beat. Burfict has played just three games since returning from microfracture surgery and the rehabilitation that followed.
Adam Jones briefly left Monday night's game against the Texans with what was deemed to be a shoulder injury, but today, he missed practice with a foot injury. It's unclear when this injury occurred, though, when he experienced the shoulder injury on Monday, it did appear he was flexing his foot and moving it around after the play that momentarily took him out of the game.
Pat Sims was added to the injury report with a knee injury and Shawn Williams was limited with an ankle injury. Sims played 32 percent of defensive snaps on Monday, but there wasn't a clear moment when he was injured. Sims has been rotating with Brandon Thompson on the inactive list each week (typically as healthy scratches) so it may be Thompson getting in on the action this week. Williams didn't play any defensive snaps on Monday, and an ankle injury may have been why.
The good news from the injury report is that Andre Smith was back (though limited) from his concussion. That is a great sign for his availability for Sunday night.
Andrew Whitworth received his typical Wednesday veteran's rest day and Leon Hall got a partial rest day as well.
The Cardinals had seven starters sitting out today including wide receivers John Brown and Michael Floyd who both have hamstring injuries. Larry Fitzgerald was also limited with an ankle injury. Starting guard Mike Iupati remains off the field after a scary concussion and neck injury in the Cardinals' win over the Seahawks. Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said this week there's a "good chance" Iupati plays this week.
