The NFL weekend starts early again this week with a game on Saturday night. This week, it's the Redskins and Eagles who are playing and for the Redskins, the NFC East title is on the line. As the Bengals end the week on Monday Night Football, there will be quite a bit of football sandwiched between Saturday and Monday. Here's what you can expect to see on your TV on Sunday.
The big game early on Sunday is New England at the New York Jets. If the Jets can pull off a win, it could shake things up in the AFC playoff picture. Though for there to really be a change, the Pittsburgh Steelers would need to lose to the Baltimore Ravens. That's the game those in the Cincinnati area will get to see on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. on CBS. On FOX, the early game for those in Cincinnati is Carolina at Atlanta. The late afternoon game on FOX for those in Cincinnati is Green Bay at Arizona. The Cardinals can clinch a first round bye with a win, while the Packers can clinch the NFC North with a win and a Minnesota loss.
Sunday Night Football features the Minnesota Vikings hosting the New York Giants. The Giants would need a lot to go their way to win the NFC East, but the Vikings just need a win against the Giants to clinch a playoff berth. This game was flexed into primetime and will be lacking the Giants' No. 1 threat, Odell Beckham Jr., as he serves a one game suspension due to his actions last week toward Josh Norman and the Panthers.
All of this should probably keep you entertained until the Bengals take on the Broncos on Monday Night Football with the hopes of locking up the AFC North and a bye in the playoffs.
