Why we need to draft a receiver in the first round

I know a lot of the people who see this post will think I'm crazy. That as long as we re sign Marvin Jones we don't really need at least an early round wide receiver. Well I am here to tell you that I think you are wrong. Now in the past I have come out and said that I truly believe in our backup wide receivers and I think that they really have the potential to shine if given a chance, but as of now we don't have another huge threat like AJ Green. I have said that I think Kumerow could end up being that, but he is obviously a practice squad player so it's unlikely. My case for why we need a first round wide receiver is the Steelers and the Cardinals. I'm sure you think the Steelers and you say that they don't have any first round guys at receiver, well they drafted well and got first round talents in other rounds. Look at the Cardinals though and see how good and dynamic their offense is. Now let's compare pieces. I think David Johnson is no more than equal to the combination of Hill and Gio. I think that AJ is just as good as Larry Fotzgeral or Michael Floyd. Whoever you want to say is there number one. We have better tight end play and a better offensive line. I think we are equal in terms of quarterback. Now let's look at receivers after number one. Marvin Jones is not as good as Michael Floyd or Larry Fitzgerald. I would say our #2 receiver Marvin Jones is about equal to their third receiver John Brown. Mohamed Sanu I can't really compare because he isn't able to stretch defense like pretty much all the Cardinals receivers are. Or he hasn't been able to do it as far as I can tell. That is why we need another first round receiver. Because the only difference between us and the most explosive offense in football is the talent at our #2 and #3 receiver positions. Realistically we could get Michael Thomas or Corey Coleman at the place we are picking. Outside of the first if we decided to go somewhere else in the first we could get DeRunnya Wilson, Demarcus Robinson, Mike Williams would be my first target outside the first if he changes his mind and declares. So yes there are a few guys we could potentially get outside the first. But depending on who is there in the first I think there could be few better picks than a wide receiver. If we didn't resign many corners that would be second choice but if we resign two of our three corners entering free agency and they aren't going to go receiver then my next choice would be either Reggie Ragland or Scooby Wright.
