Four players have been fined for their roles in the fight at the end of the Super Bowl. Seahawks LB Bruce Irvin, who started things and was ejected from the game, owes $10,000. Michael Bennett, Rob Gronkowski, and Michael Hoomanawanui came in for fines of $8,268 each.
Mother Of Joseph Randle's Child Says RB Pulled Gun On Her
Cowboys running back Joseph Randle, who was arrested for allegedly stealing underwear and cologne in October, was involved in an alleged domestic-violence incident at a hotel in Wichita, Kan., on Tuesday. Randle was arrested and charged with weed possession--a charge that was later dropped--and now the mother of Randle's son has filed a protection order against him.
Ndamukong Suh's contract voids, talks with Detroit Lions in neutral
The final year of Ndamukong Suh's rookie contract officially voided today, and now the Detroit Lions are on the clock to re-sign their all-pro defensive tackle. The Lions are the only team that can officially talk contract details with Suh until the three-day free agent negotiating period opens March 7, and Suh cannot sign with another team until 4 p.m. March 10.
Detroit Lions' Reggie Bush denies involvement in Darren Sharper case
The lawyer for Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush said he denies allegations made in a Louisiana courtroom recently that he gave ecstasy to women while hanging out with accused rapist Darren Sharper in Las Vegas. "This is outrageous," Bush's California-based attorney Shawn Holley told the Free Press. "I can say to you on the record that Reggie adamantly, vehemently and unequivocally denies all of the statements in that article. We are demanding a retraction from The Advocate and Reggie is considering taking legal action."
