With training camp rolling on, we gathered the best tweets from the Bengals' second full practice of the summer.
Any tweet referencing the Bengals and Billy Joel gets first mention:
To quote Billy Joel, pretty good crowd for a Saturday. #Bengals pic.twitter.com/URW6n59IiT

On offense, wide receiver Tevin Reese made some nice plays, including a deep ball he hauled in for the score from AJ McCarron. Running back/wide receiver Rex Burkhead also looked good catching the ball, something the Bengals will count on him doing more this year after playing mostly running back in his first two NFL seasons.
Tevin Reese just caught his 2nd straight pass on rookie corner Josh Shaw. Meanwhile, Rex Burkhead keeps getting praise for play in pass game

Tevin Reese is a high energy guy, sprints everywhere he goes during the play.

One of the things Rex Burkhead has done best today? Create separation. It's that little detail that's made him such a viable option as WR

Rex looking like poor man's Welker running routes with WRs. #smoothinslot

H-back Ryan Hewitt made a some nice plays as he looks to take on a bigger role in the offense in his second NFL season:

Tyler Eifert had a great training camp last year, and 2015 has been no different thus far:

Now back and fully healthy after missing last year, receiver Marvin Jones has made several nice grabs over the first two practices:
Earlier, Marvin Jones had his second one handed catch in two days
— Brennen Warner (@BrennenWarner) August 1, 2015
It wasn't a good day for the offensive line, which led to Andy Dalton and AJ McCarron struggling at times. One of the beneficiaries was defensive tackle Devon Still:

— Brennen Warner (@BrennenWarner) August 1, 2015
I'd say early on, there are some pass blocking issues; Dalton and McCarron have been forced to hold onto the ball a lot.
— Josh Kirkendall (@Josh_Kirkendall) August 1, 2015
On defense, cornerback Darqueze Dennard had a strong showing in both drills and team work:
McCarron intercepted by Darqueze Dennard, turned into pick 6 https://t.co/zda8431ZQ3

Darqueze Dennard picking up where he left off in the spring. On overthrow from AJ McCarron, he ran back an interception. #Bengals

Dennard shutdown Marvin Jones on one-on-one contact drills.

Another defender who continued to impress was Geno Atkins, who continues to look liker the pre-ACL tear Geno:
Geno Atkins breaks up this play with a disruption https://t.co/Y0eWgfD1cq
— Brennen Warner (@BrennenWarner) August 1, 2015
One corner who Dennard is battling with for playing time is Adam Jones, but the veteran is still doing his best to coach up the younger guy:
Adam Jones is like another coach in the sideline. Helping defense out even when he's on the side.
— Lindsay Patterson (@LndsPatterson) August 1, 2015
When Jones wasn't coaching on the side, he was picking off Andy Dalton:
Dalton makes terrible decision to throw into traffic here. Adam Jones bobbles for INT https://t.co/9FBIjj985i
— Brennen Warner (@BrennenWarner) August 1, 2015
Adam Jones jumped A.J. Green and intercepted Andy Dalton's pass. Nicely done. Jones saw the slant developing a mile away.
— Josh Kirkendall (@Josh_Kirkendall) August 1, 2015
Second pick of the day, this one for Adam Jones on Andy Dalton. Stepped in front of an in route. #Bengals
— Paul Dehner Jr. (@pauldehnerjr) August 1, 2015
Another veteran looking to hold off Dennard is Leon Hall, who made a few nice plays of his own today:
Leon Hall had a great diving deflection on a Marvin Jones out route earlier in 1v1s
— Brennen Warner (@BrennenWarner) August 1, 2015
It wasn't a good day for backup QB AJ McCarron, who threw several picks and held on to the ball too long:
I've only seen AJ McCarron live for 1.5 practices and I can already tell he likes to hold onto the ball too long.
— Brennen Warner (@BrennenWarner) August 1, 2015
First pick of 11 on 11. McCarron overthrows Little and Dennard picks

McCarron sails one over Greg Little's head and drops and f-bomb

On special teams, Onterio McCalebb is trying to earn a roster spot after moving from corner to wide receiver this offseason. He was among several players getting reps at the returner spot:
Heard at end of minicamp this might happen, but new WR Onterio McCalebb is getting some chances at back end of KR rotation. #Bengals
— Coley Harvey (@ColeyHarvey) August 1, 2015
Adam Jones, Brandon Tate, Gio Bernard, Onterio McCalebb, Mario Alford returning kicks. Upbacks were Gio, Rex Burkhead, & Denarius Moore.
— Brennen Warner (@BrennenWarner) August 1, 2015
As for the injured Bengals, Rey Maualuga made sure to get some good work in on the rehab field:
Maualuga, who carried heavy bags around the parameter of the side field, is done with his work. Now standing to the side while D does drills
— Josh Kirkendall (@Josh_Kirkendall) August 1, 2015
Mike Nugent took all the FG reps, which isn't important. It's more about blocking units. Tom Obarski had reps on the side field.
