Bengals Defense Next Year

When people hear the team Bengals, they immediately think of Offense...Green...Dalton...Eifert...and Hill. Although last season the Bengals defense still ranked among the better teams in the NFL, I think they can come close to having the best defense.

1. Defensive Line

Bengals have arguably one of the top defensive lines in the NFL...consisting of pass rushers and run stoppers in Atkins, Dunlap, Peko, Sims, rookie Billings, and Johnson. I think Billings was a huge steal in the draft and has the potential to be a premier Defensive Lineman.

2. Underrated Secondary

Yes Reggie Nelson and most likely Leon Hall are gone...but I still think Bengals could have an elite secondary if players play to their full potential. Dre Kirkpatrick is inconsistant but has shown that he can be a terrific corner same with Dennard. I hope these two guys breakout and play into their ceilings. I also like Reggie Nelson's replacemant Shawn Williams...I think he has great insticts and can be pretty darn good. Most of all...George Iloka and William Jackson III are the two guys I want to see really step up. Iloka has been the most underrated safety for too long and its time for him to dominate and everyone to know it. William Jackson has got to start because he really can be a shutdown corner for the Bengals along side Adam Jones.

3. Line Backers

Dansby. He is going to be a huge boost for the Bengals and they still have their other solid linebackers. If Burfict can get his head on straight...this Defense will be awesome.
