One of the Bengals’ most bitter rivals has moved on to the AFC Championship round, but it appears Cincinnati is looking beyond the playoff bracket in ways to better their team. Head coach Marvin Lewis, who, by all appearances, will be be back in 2017 despite a 6-9-1 record in 2016, has proclaimed the Bengals will be “vastly different” in 2017. Is he to be believed?
On this week’s episode of The Orange and Black Insider, Scott Schultze and I discuss the Bengals’ best defensive players from 2016, as well as NFL Draft possibilities as Cincinnati holds the No. 9 pick. This is the first time the team has had a top-10 pick since 2011, and the possibilities for a top 10 pick are exciting.
We also looked at the Chargers’ move to Los Angeles from San Diego and discuss the effects it has on the NFL landscape. The move gave us a lot to talk about, even though it doesn’t geographically affect the Bengals.
We had a lot of feedback from our listeners on a number of different platforms, for which we are grateful. You can get in touch with us every week in a variety of different means during or after the recording of the show.
