As of Friday morning, the Cincinnati Bengals are seven-point favorites this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday, who come into Cincinnati with significant seeding implications for the 2013 NFL playoffs. The opening line earlier this week favored the Bengals at 5.5. According to OddsShark, the Bengals are 5-0 against the spread when the game is played at home this season, and 7-4-1 overall.
Though there's a reason why Any Given Sunday is so well known in the NFL community, things appear to be giving Cincinnati some benefit. Yet, part of the advantage as favorites is the usual homefield advantage, where the Bengals haven't lost a game since Tony Romo's drive that secured Dallas' 20-19 win over Cincinnati on Dec. 9, 2012. They have won six straight against the Ravens ('12), Steelers, Packers, Patriots, Jets and Browns.
Additionally, Cincinnati has been playing well on defense against a Colts offense that's looking to recapture their early season success prior to Reggie Wayne's season-ending injury.
