Running Back Bernard Scott Sits During Wednesday's Practice With A New Injury

Stay connected for news and updates

During the release of Wednesday's injury list, a familiar name returned with a new ailment. Bengals running back Bernard Scott sat during practice on Wednesday. Whereas a broken hand kept him out during the preseason and first two games of the regular season, Scott's newest "owie" is an ankle.

Scott was on the side for rehabilitation during practice on Wednesday.

Playing the final year on a four-year rookie deal that he signed as a sixth round pick in 2009, Scott played his first game of the season last weekend against the Washington Redskins, carrying the football three times for negative five yards. During his first carry, Scott lost eight yards due to a missed crack-back block by wide receiver Mohamed Sanu. On the remaining carries (20), Scott posted three yards.
