As if the peaceful offseason wouldn't last, one Bengals player took it upon himself to change things up.
Not two days after tweeting that the Cincinnati Bengals have emphasized one of the more stable offseason stories this year, it quickly resolved with a teeth-shattering uppercut.
According to WCPO-TV, Bengals offensive tackle Andre Smith was arrested after "he allegedly brought a gun to an airport in Atlanta."
Atlanta police say they found a .380 caliber handgun on Smith when he tried to board a plane at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta Airport Thursday evening.
Smith, 25, of Birmingham, Alabama, appeared in court Friday morning and was issued a $3,000 bond.
Smith is entering the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.
