There are rumors that the Bengals are interested in Shaun Alexander. They are already deep at the running back position, so if they do sign Shaun Alexander the risk would not be high or bad. If he can regain his MVP form, then it would be a good pickup for Cincy and it could come at a bargain price.

One of the guys trying out for the Bengals this weekend. Meet Alabama State grad, Jay Peck, RB, 5-11, 202, 4.6 40.

12/21/07 - 2007 All-SWAC First-Team, SWAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: RB Jay Peck, Alabama State, 5-11 200 Sr., Columbus, Ohio, was selected All-Southwestern Athletic Conference First Team for the 2007 college football season. Peck was arguably the conference's top individual play this season. He led the league in rushes, rushing yards and 100 yard rushing games. The senior from Columbus, Ohio - who has already graduated with a degree in marketing - finished his career with 2,399 rushing yards, behind only Brad Baxter (3,732) and Rico White (3,470). "Jay has been named 1st team All-SWAC in back to back seasons, and not a lot of guys can say that," Barlow said. "He is not only a great football player, he's a great guy. "Jay just gets it", Barlow continued. "When we sat down as a staff and said what kind of characteristics we wanted in our players, we wrote them all down and then realized we were describing Jay Peck." - Alabama State Football

Keith Rivers was the quiet man within the USC Linebacker corps. He follows in the great USC linebacker tradition made famous by guys like Junior Seau, Willie McGinest and Chris Claiborne.

From WeAreSC :

In 2007 Rivers started for his third season at weakside linebacker as a senior in 2007 and turned in an All-American season. Overall in 2007 while starting 12 games (he missed the Arizona State game with a sprained left ankle suffered at California), he had 78 tackles (second on USC), including 5 for losses of 15 yards, plus 4 deflections, a team-high 3 fumble recoveries and 1 forced fumble.

He was 1 of 10 semifinalists for the 2007 Butkus Award and 1 of 17 quarterfinalists for the Lott Trophy, as well as an SI.com All-American first team, Pro Football Weekly All-American first team, Walter Camp All-American second team, Phil Steele's All-American third team and Collegefootballnews.com All-American honorable mention pick. Rivers was named to the 2007 All-Pac-10 first team (for the second year in a row), ESPN.com All-Pac-10 first team, Collegefootballnews.com All-Pac-10 first team and Phil Steele's All-Pac-10 first team. He was a USC team captain. He won USC's Co-Lifter of the Year Award.

He was a Senior Bowl invitee. He was named to the 2007 Playboy Pre-Season All-American team. He had arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle to remove bone spurs following 2007 spring practice.

Rivers' ability to play a variety of positions proved invaluable earlier in his career. In addition to excelling at weak-side linebacker, he was often used as a defensive end in pass rushing situations during his first two seasons with the Trojans.

Rivers is an excellent athlete that has great speed with a burst to close. He iquick and agile, has terrific range and makes plays sideline-to-sideline. Does a fantastic job in pursuit, motor runs non-stop and he is really activeand is great in coverage. A big hitter who can lay the lumber but also agile enough to be decent pass rusher and blitzer He is aggressive and plays with an attitude, so don’t let the calm demeanor fool you. He works through the trash and traffic well with good instincts and recognition.

He could stand to add some weight and he needs to get stronger. He is more of a finesse player and is not overly physical. He to work on shedding blockers. He is not stout and can be run at, he sometimes goes for the knockout rather than wrapping up.

You are getting a hard working stud of a linebaker. A outstanding all-around linebacker who shouldn't ever have to leave the field.
He is of solid character, he doesn't cause trouble and he is a quiet leader.

He will be able to play with the big boys. You will be pleased with is performance.

Over a week ago I wrote about my impression of blogs and why the mainstream media hates us so much. Heck, I was bored of Mock Drafts, no Chad Johnson news showed up, so what the heck. In long, they don't compare at all. They truly are separate mediums. But I also contend that blogs are growing exponentially popular because of the void left from an absent minded mainstream media that chooses their representation of news. I also pointed out that blogs are not news, they are op/ed sites that provide their own commentary. That distinction, by now, should be understood. And if it's not, then that's the fault of the reader.

The mainstream media is pissed about it. As is Buzz Bissinger on HBO's Costas NOW ambushing of Deadspin's Will Leitch. This is a blurb recorded and posted by Awful Announcing by way of Deadspin (hat tip to several Sports Blog Nation members).

I guess in the end the problem truly is understanding. If the MSM truly understood what Blogs are, who they represent, etc.. then they'd just let it go and let us do what we do best. Put them out of business. I kid, I kid.

Since our coaches feel good about our RB’s? Hopefully it means we go back to the clock eating ground cruncher’s of 2005. The good thing about clock eating is our Defense hits the turf a lot fresher throughout the game. Allowing those fast guy to remain fast and the D-line hogs more time for swill.

About RB's, I’m still waitng for the Pete Johnson clone to arrive.
The days of a P Johnson and L Kinnebrew with a James Brooks type were always fun to guess who would get the ball in a run play. I can remember Kinnebrew's thighs were so big he could hardly walk onto the field, but when it was time to run they seemed to disappear. Where did all the Big Fast RB Monsters go?

In this draft I was not a Keith Rivers fan. But now I see the fit and love the whole draft. Cant wait for those 5 thru 7 pix’s to show up in G-town camp.

Says he can Pile Drive O-linemen right off their feet. Amazing power to break through double team blocking.

From Bryant-Jon Anteola at the Fresno Bee (Thursday):

'A chance. That's all Jason Shirley wants. A chance to get selected this weekend during the NFL draft.

A chance to keep playing.

But the former Fresno State football player knows he severely hurt those chances in October when he was charged with three misdemeanors, including driving under the influence.

The incident led to Shirley's third suspension of the season, and essentially ended his senior year.

"I know NFL teams frown upon those types of incidents," Shirley said. "It's always a big deal when you did something like I got involved in.

"They don't want guys who get in trouble. I just tell them: 'It was a mistake; it's unfortunate. I've moved on, and I've learned from it.' "

Most mock drafts project Shirley as a late-round selection or a free-agent signee.

At 6 feet, 5 inches and 329 pounds, and capable of running a 40-yard dash in 5.02 seconds, Shirley is one of the biggest and fastest defensive tackles in the draft.

He ranks 22nd overall at his position, according to NFLDraftScout.com, which cites his size and potential as positives but his stamina, off-the-field issues and maturity level as negatives.

Shirley said life hasn't been the same after his senior season was limited to three games because of the suspensions.

Shirley was suspended the first two games for conduct detrimental to the team. Stripped of his starting role, he returned to play three games and contributed immediately as the Bulldogs' primary run stopper.

He was suspended a second time after he was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. Police say he crashed a car into an apartment complex on Oct. 8. Shirley was charged with three misdemeanors: driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08% or higher, and hit and run.

Shirley appealed the suspension and provided medical documents that detailed a concussion he received days before the car crash. He soon was back on the team.

But a few days after he was reinstated, Shirley was charged with driving with a suspended license and expired registration. He was suspended again, this time for the remainder of the season.

Shirley said he became depressed, embarrassed and confused. The structure of football always had helped him manage his time, forced him to stay disciplined with his grades, and most importantly, gave him a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

When around his teammates, Shirley often pulled little pranks, like the time he sprayed a water bottle all over fullback Reynard Camp.

"Do you ever stop playing?" Camp yelled at his teammate.

Without football, Shirley was distant and kept to himself.

During his suspension, Shirley didn't watch another Fresno State game until the Bulldogs' Humanitarian Bowl victory.

"Watching them play was like putting salt on the wound," said Shirley, his eyes filling with tears. "I was proud of my former teammates. They showed a lot of heart. I just wish I could have been a part of it."

Shirley said he snapped out of his funk when he began playing football again in two senior all-star games: the Hula Bowl and the Texas vs. The Nation Bowl.

"I felt good to be back in pads, be back around the guys," he said.

Shirley took this semester off from school to prepare for the draft. He performed well last month at Fresno State's Pro Day, where NFL hopefuls run drills in front of scouts.

Among Shirley's more impressive marks were his 40-yard time, vertical jump (35 inches) and broad jump (9 feet, 10 inches). In comparison, USC's Sedrick Ellis, considered the second-best defensive tackle available, ran the 40 in 5.26, had a vertical jump of 26-1/2 and a broad jump of 8-7.

Still, ESPN NFL draft expert Mel Kiper called Shirley an enigma.

And then there are Shirley's court issues.

Shirley appeared before a Fresno County Superior Court judge Wednesday for his DUI case, with his lawyer ready to go to trial. But the prosecutor from the District Attorney's Office asked for a delay, and the trial start was pushed to May 21.

Shirley's lawyer, Charles McGill, said a handful of NFL teams have called his office to find out details of Shirley's case. McGill said he couldn't recall how many teams or which specific teams called, except for the Cincinnati Bengals.

"I have a good feeling that Jason's going to get drafted," said McGill, who is representing Shirley in his legal case, but is not his sports agent.

Shirley said he plans to watch the draft from his parents' home in Fontana.

"Life is good," Shirley said. "I feel blessed. I'm excited. I'm a little nervous about this weekend. I'm not depressed anymore.

"I'm just ready to move on with everything, get back to playing football."'

I'm ready to give this guy a shot because he could really wreak havoc at the point of attack and lord knows we need that.

I admit it, I hate NFL draft grades. They make little sense to me and too many times they changed base on surprises and busts. It's just something to chat about. HOWEVER, let's do it anyway.

Keith Rivers was a good pick. We need to solidify LB with a good core guy. It would have been nice to have Ellis, but the Saints trading ahead of us -- which we expected all month leading up to the draft -- killed that. And we don't know if the Bengals tried or not. The Saints only lost a third round pick and got a fifth round pick back. So the cost wasn't too high.

I just don't know about Jerome Simpson. Is he stretch? I've never seen him play. Maybe he'll be another Antonio Chatman. Maybe he'll be another Chris Henry (then it would have been worth it). We just don't know.

Anyway, what's your overall day one thoughts?

Look, I'm not crazy about the way he has handled his business. But, I feel like he is starting to really shed some light on the whole situation. In this story, he's echoing Carson. What have I said all along? Mike Brown is the problem. We all know that.

I'm not on Chad's side, but, I agree with him on this. Chad has never said he wants more money. He justs wants out of Cincy. I want him to stay. But, he's right as long as the Browns are running things, the Bengals will never step up. For example, take the draft. The Bengals have all these extra picks, have they done anything with them?

We needed a DT, the entire world knew the Saints were going to trade up to get Ellis. What did the Bengals do? Let the Saints have him. I'm not saying they didn't try. But, why are other teams able to get the things the Bengals can't do, done? Shaun Rogers, Dwayne Robertson...

As a Bengals fan, I feel so helpless... kinda like Chad.

The following is an expected list that, after days, weeks and months of reading and presuming, the Bengals will pick based on availability. This list is likely to change, along with the obvious that teams lie and manipulate their known plans or draft boards. If you have adjustments, write them out with guys like Stewart or a sleeper that we're not seeing. Go nuts, man.

Where we get Ellis at 9

Trade Chad to the Eagles for #19, #80, and their next year's first. Rivers at 19.

Early Doucet at 46.

Patrick Lee(CB-Auburn) at 77.

Jonathon Goff(ILB-Vandy) at 80

Terrell Thomas(CB-USC) at 97

Thomas DeCoud(S-Cal) at 112

John Sullivan(C-Notre Dame) at 145

Jermichael Finley(TE-Texas) at 177

Jordon Dizon(LB-Colorado) at 207

Mark Bradford(WR-Stanford) at 244

Wallace Gilberry(DE- Alabama) at 246.

I'm not exactly sure why we need two CBs. Probably ought to have got one more receiver at 77, 80, or 97 but, just think about it, Chad's gone, and we've got Sedric Ellis and Keith Rivers.

Interesting pick? Kendall Langford DE-Hampton, 6-6, 290.

Fingers crossed, gentlemen...

Hello Bengals Fans, I am a Bleeding Green Nation member with an interesting idea. Please hear me out.

There are reports swirling around the internet that the Cowboys, Redskins and the Eagles have all inquired about the services of Bengals troubled WR Chad Johnson. It has been reported that the Bengals turned down a trade with the Redskins worth 2 first round draft picks.

Does anyone understand the reasoning behind that? Thats just flat out stupid. There are also reports in Philadelphia that the Eagles have already made offers for Anquan Boldin and Chad Johnson. They have made it know that they would like to make an offer for Roy Williams, and have already failed in attempts at WR Larry Fitzgerald and Randy Moss.

How do you Bengals fan feel about trading with Philly, what would you like, and would the trade be accepted by the fans. My advice is to move on while you can, the Eagle got back nothing for Owens, just peace and quite in return. If this situation drags during the season, it will be a circus. Chad will be doing situps on his front lawn while Drew says "Next Question!".

Hey Cincy Jungle,

Today is the big day. We've switched your community over to the new SB Nation sports blog platform. My name is Trei, and I'm here to help you get adjusted to the new home we've built for you. If you have questions or trouble with the new system, post a comment in this thread and myself or one of the team (lovitt, sixfoot6 or odacrem) will try to point you in the right direction.

Before we begin, I want to let you know we still consider this a beta platform, so don't be surprised if you find a few bugs or if everything isn't exactly right yet. We hope you'll take the time to report any problems you encounter at bugreport@sbnation.com. We'll be continuing to make changes and improving things.

Please take a few minutes to read about what's new below. But if you just can't wait to jump in, here are some quick things to check out:

Sign up for your SB Nation network account and claim your old blog accounts

Once you're logged in, press your Z key in any thread with new comments

Explore your dashboard and setup your profile

Read the guide to the new FanPost editor

Install the FanShot bookmarklet and post videos to Cincy Jungle from YouTube or images from Flickr

Click the "Rec" button on posts and comments to help other people find the good stuff.

Customize display options on your Edit Settings page

What Has Changed

SB Nation Network Accounts - the Big Change

Readers across all of our blogs told us they wanted one account to use on every SB Nation blog. To make this work, we're requiring that everyone create a new SB Nation network account. In most cases you should be able to keep your old username, but a few of you may have to choose something new, since every other community in SB Nation will be going through this same transition. We tried to be as fair as possible in deciding who gets to keep which name, using a formula that takes into account length of membership and frequency of activity.

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to participate on all of our blogs, but we don't want to encourage everyone to start visiting rival team blogs and initiating flame wars. To maintain friendly communities we ask that you explicitly join each blog in order to participate. It's a two-click process, but it does means accepting each blog's community guidelines. Just as you join each blog individually, you can be banned on each blog individually.

You can claim old accounts from multiple SB Nation blogs, and your new username will be retroactively attached to all your old comments and diaries. So now you'll be able to access all your writings from your single profile page... like magic.

To get started, click here to claim your old blog accounts and create a new SB Nation network account.

FanPosts (the Section Formerly Known as Diaries)

We changed their name. Why? Because we took this major upgrade as an opportunity to leave behind some vocabulary that never made much sense for a sports blog. SB Nation is the network of, by and for fans, and these are the blog posts we make. So we call them FanPosts. When you're at a bar telling someone to check out your online sports opinions, you don't have to suggest they read your diary.

FanPosts are displayed differently on the homepage - we include your avatar to give more credit for the time you spend writing great posts. The new post editor has a WYSIWYG view that provides easy formatting. It also auto-saves drafts so you don't have to worry about losing your work when you compose a post within the web browser. And you can now associate teams, players and games with your posts: these tools promote your FanPosts on our new team, player and game pages - across the entire network.

The new system does not work like the old diary editor. For example, in HTML mode the new editor doesn't auto-create a new paragraph from two line breaks. But it does offer a whole array of new features. Look for the blinking help button on the right side of the FanPost editor for quick tips, and take a look at our full guide to writing FanPosts on the new platform.

IMPORTANT - if you write your posts in Microsoft Word or some other off-line editor, you will get the most reliable behavior if you cut & paste your post into the HTML view of the FanPost editor. And if you do that, remember to wrap <p></p> tags around each paragraph so your text doesn't run together.

Visual Redesign

This one is probably the most obvious change of all. Like other major websites working to improve readability for their audience, we've adopted a fixed-width layout optimized for the 1024 x 768 resolution used by the majority of Cincy Jungle and SB Nation network users. Use the switcher below the user menu if you prefer the wider layout designed for 1280 monitors. We've introduced a top navigation bar with quick links into old and new sections of the site. We also polished a few edges, made some things larger, others smaller and moved a few boxes here and there. More changes and adjustments to come.

Search

We've completely replaced the old search engine with a new one. We're excited to make it easier to find old posts and comments, but we've only taken our first pass on the tools we're offering. We're focused on making search even better than what you had before, so please know that we're aware search is missing key features and we're working on it.

What's New

Schedule, Scores, Stats and Roster

Cincy Jungle now has all the basic information about the Cincinnati Bengals and hundreds of other teams. During games you'll see a regularly updated line score, and as the season progresses we'll track team stat totals and leaders. This is just our first step, so look for us to publish more detailed and archival stats in the future. The best part about all this sports data is that we've integrated it directly into the blog so. We now have special pages that aggregate all blog posts written about games, players and teams.

Recommending FanPosts

Some writing deserves more attention and more conversation. If you want to bump a FanPost up to the top and keep it there for awhile, just click the 'Rec' link under the body of the post. When a FanPost receives enough recommendations it will make the recommended list.

Auto-refreshing Comments

You no longer need to refresh the page to see new comments. If you're logged in, new comments will automatically appear on the page every few seconds. When you post a comment, the page will not refresh either. If you want to quickly cycle through all the new comments, you can press the C key on your keyboard. Unmark a new comment after you've read it with the X key. And use the Z key if you want to umark comments as you're cycling through them.

As you use these shortcuts to cycle through comments, press the R key to reply to the current comment. All these helpful keyboard shortcuts are listed at the top of each comments section for reference.

Recommending Comments

Now you can reward those folks who take the time to look up stats and make smart arguments in the comments. Next to each comment there is an 'actions' link that you can click to find the recommend and flag options.

Flagging Comments

To help the moderators on a site, we've built-in tools that let you flag comments that are spam, trolling or just plain inappropriate. Only moderators can see those flags.

FanShots

Many members of the community just want to post that one link, video, photo or quote, but don't need a full FanPost. We've got you covered: FanShots let you share YouTube videos, Flickr or PhotoBucket photos, quotes from articles, portions of chat transcripts, top 5 lists and simple links. If it's a video or image we'll put a thumbnail on the homepage when you post it.

For those of you who are experienced internet hunter-gatherers of Cincinnati Bengals material, install the bookmarklet onto the links bar of your browser and share FanShots with the community from wherever on the web you find that killer quote or photo.

Archives

It's much easier to find that post about a certain deadline trade or prospect retro feature. You can browse by year and month.

Avatars

Upload an image so folks can see your custom avatar on your profile, your FanPosts, and all your comments.

Network Profiles

Now that we have unified SB Nation network accounts, your profile will be your central hub for all of your activity on any blogs where you are a member.

Network bar

The top bar stays with you on all SB Nation blogs. It's a quick way to login and logout. When you're logged in, you'll see your avatar and screen name which links to your profile. The icon to the right leads to your Dashboard area where you can edit your settings, profile, account details and any FanPosts or FanShots you've published. As we add more blogs to the new SB Nation network, the My Blogs menu will be a handy way to navigate between the blogs you've joined.

-------

There are plenty more small changes and additions we've made, so please take a careful look around and explore this new system. We appreciate your patience and hope you'll help us improve the new platform for this and all the other SB Nation blogs.

And in case you missed it, you'll want to start by claiming your old blog accounts and creating a new SB Nation network account.

Well this is what i would do

Cincinnati would get:
Eagles #19 pick
Lito Sheppard

Philadelphia would get:
Chad Johnson
Next Years first
and few picks

What do u think about it
Also anybody think we should try to get Dwayne Robertson and draft Ellis and have a stout top 2 DTs

What would u do if you were GM

My Top Ten in the Draft and a Bengal's Wish List for Same.

The first ten picks as theorized by me and, then, a wish list of sorts for the Bengals' other nine picks.

Dolphins are talking to Jake Long, supposedly trying to pre-negotiate a deal but I think it's a smoke screen and Chris Long is the pick. He's just too good to pass up. Size, speed, pedigree, film, everything you need in a DE.

St. Louis will be hugely pleased that Jake Long was a Dolphin smokescreen and snap him up before Goodell finishes the words, "...on the clock."

Atlanta can't live with Chris Redman as a starter and goes for perhaps the only bonafide NFL-caliber QB available this year, Matt Ryan.

Al Davis has a rare lucid moment and opts to ignore the flash and move to replace the retiring Warren Sapp with the potentially equally good, Glenn Dorsey.

Kansas City may have Jared Allen to replace and Vernon Gholston would really fill that bill.

New York Jets finally stop Darren McFadden's mini-slide.

This is the draft pick the Pats should have lost, not the 31st. However, their secondary is in shambles. DRC is bigger, stronger, and faster than either Jenkins or McKelvin so they go with the Tennessee State corner.

There's a real possibility that Baltimore trades up to Atlanta at 3 for Matt Ryan. Assuming that doesn't happen, no other QB merits the 8th, so they go with Ryan Clady in an effort to replace the retiring Ogden.

"Cincinnati is now..." SEDRICK ELLIS!

New Orleans opts to shore up a horrid secondary with Leodis McKelvin.

Bengals Picks?

2. Even assuming Odell is reinstated, LB is still a big need. Curtis Lofton would be my first choice here, followed by Adibi or Henderson.

3a. If, by some strange happenstance, Chris Johnson is available... I know, okay, Early Doucet or Malcolm Kelly if he slips this far- fingers crossed.
3b. Marcus Howard, OLB Georgia.

Here's what I see shaping up with the Bengals in the 2008 Draft.

Here's what I think will be the likely first 9 selections of the first round.

Miami - they need everything but I think they will take a player that will pay dividends for years to come in Jake Long.

St Louis - they don't use a 3-4 defense alignment so I think they will opt for DE Chris Long in order to strengthen the rush.

Atlanta - They need a QB to replace Vick but I think they can't afford to pass up a lock in Glenn Dorsey.

Oakland - Against better judgment Oakland again will draft erratically and take RB Darren McFadden.

Kansas City - I going to go out on a limb here and say that the New York Giants will trade up with KC and take Vernon Gholston. I see this as a real possibility considering that the Giants have a couple of LB positions to fill. If this doesn't happen I see KC taking QB Brian Brohm.

N Y J - If the Giants do make the trade then I see the Jets taking RB Jonathan Stewart or if the Giants don't trade up they will take Gholston.

N. E. - Since New England lost 2 starters at CB I see them working real hard to strengthen that position. So in that case I see them taking either Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie who's stock has really risen or Leodis McKelvin. Although the could I don't think that NE will go after Sedric Ellis because of the need at CB plus they already have youth at DT.

Baltimore - I see the Ravens being a real spoiler here because I think they will move to prevent Cincinnati from getting a top notch DT. Therefore I see them taking Sedric Ellis if he is still on the board. If not on the board I think that they will draft QB Brian Brohm or Matt Ryan. Both of these are typical pocket passers and I think that is what Balt is looking for plus it will provide insurance to them at QB. In the event that neither of those players are available I think that they will go after OT Ryan Clady to shore up the offensive line.

Cincinnati - Since both Dorsey and Ellis will be gone by the time that Cincy picks I see them taking either Rashard Mendenhall at RB or Derrick Harvey at DE. Harvey would appear to be a good pick for them but he and Mendenhall are really not the best player on the board at the number 9 pick.

With this scenario I see that Cincy really needs to work out a trade with either St. Louis or Atlanta in order to move up in the draft so that they can get Dorsey. Preferably I think Cincy should work out a trade with St. Louis for the number 2 position so that way they can get either Dorsey if he's not the first pick or Chris Long who is bona-fide DE. Note if it comes to them taking Chris Long I feel that it will work out because they will be able to move Geathers back to a rover LB position plus they can always pick up a DT during a later round. I see them swapping first round positions with St Louis plus throwing in either their 3rd round pick or perhaps a veteran player instead of the pick.

After that I think that Cincy should focus on WR James Hardy or OLB Shawn Crable or WR Devin Thomas or MLB Phillip Wheeler MLB with their 2nd pick. I'm thinking Hardy will add the depth for the loss of Chris Henry but OLB Crable will add further depth at the LB position.

For their regular 3rd pick I feel they should take either WR Andre Caldwell or DT Frank Okam depending on whether they trade up on the first round. I really like Okam if they can get him. He has plenty of bulk and in a 4-3 set should really solidify the defensive line. Of course if they do trade up it's possible that this pick will be lost via the trade.

For their 3rd round compensatory pick I think they should focus on with DT Red Bryant or WR Jordy Nelson or OG Roy Schuening, or OLB Beau Bell. WR Nelson appears to be a burner and could be a kickoff specialist.

For their 4th round pick I see RB Tashard Choice or TE John Carlson or OC Steve Justice as possible picks. The RB sounds appealing based on last years running game but I also see a need to pick up a backup Center.

For their 5th round pick I see WR Will Franklin who has good size or WR Kennan Burton does also or CB Tyvon Branch who can give depth at CB or DE Kendell Langford which has good size at the position or OG Jordan Grimes who can provide OL backup.

After the above picks they will still have 4 picks in the 6th round that they can use to pick up backup OLM.

UPDATE: Picking up where primetime 07 left off, ESPN is now picking up the story. Henry is currently in Hamilton County jail waiting a court appearance Thursday. All likelihood, Henry's punishment from the league could be severe lasting a full season, if not more. This comes at a time when the Bengals may lose their #1 receiver -- either through a trade or simply sitting out.

Enquirer has the story too.

Primetime 07's original post: Or at least there is a warrant out for his arrest.

This is unbelievable.

Article is here.

Apparently Henry smashed the window of an 18 year old freshman at the University of Cincinnati. I'm sure there's more information to come out on this but if it's true then Henry might be banned from the NFL for life.
